TriAthy Window Sparkle

Our first event, Windows Sparkle, will commence to coincide with the forthcoming Tri Athy, 2009 and will continue to coincide with the County Kildare Show, the National Ploughing Championship, and the Shackleton Weekend. These festivals show our town in the best possible light and we would ask all business to partake.
The idea is simple coinciding with each of the above high profile events, Athy Chamber is asking every business to decorate their shop windows with images, symbols or emblems which represent the event taking part in Athy. For example for the Tri Athy, businesses will be asked to design their windows with themes, images, symbols or emblems representing Tri Athy. The windows could be a testimony to the countries represented by the participants or exhibit a swimming, running or cycling theme.
There will be no entry fee but Prizes will be given for the best windows during each festival. During the week following each festival, there will be a prize giving ceremony when the winners will be crowned and publicised and each entrant will receive a Parchment.
The individual event winners will then qualify for the overall winner of the competition
