Athy Water Supply Update

Last Updated: 19 Jan 2010

Athy Water Supply Update - Tuesday, 19th January - 2pm

The town's own water supply is being restored this afternoon, following disruption to one of the local pumping stations on Saturday afternoon last. However, a number of areas throughout the town will remain at risk of reduced pressure until the supply is fully restored.

The Town Council regrets the inconvenience caused by this disruption and will do everything possible to minimise the scale and duration.

The Council is monitoring the water supply situation on an ongoing basis and will provide regular updates on its website www.athytowncouncil.ie and KFM radio.  All users are requested to conserve water where possible.

The water tanker and mains stand-pipe arrangements as below will remain in place this afternoon Tuesday and tomorrow Wednesday.
